Airport parking at St. Thomas is in the Dale A. Gregory Transportation Center, the three-level garage across from the terminal. Public parking uses levels 2 and 3, which hold 320 spaces between them. The facility operates from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
Level 1 is not public parking. It is reserved for rental cars, taxis and tour operators, so a driver looking for a space should keep climbing.
Where to Park
Levels 2 and 3 carry 311 standard spaces and 9 accessible spaces, in a mix of covered and uncovered bays. Two elevators serve both levels.
A pedestrian walkway connects the garage to the terminal, with a marked crosswalk and ADA-accessible ramps. The shortest route to the terminal runs from the north side of the facility. The airport map shows the two buildings in relation to each other.
The garage opened partially in April 2024 under temporary restrictions and was completed and fully opened on 28 April 2025. It is named for Dale A. Gregory, the Port Authority engineer who initiated the project in 2014.

The $20 covers a full day, and it is what any stay beyond five hours costs. A week away comes to $140, so weigh that against a taxi in both directions before deciding to leave a car. St. Thomas is the more expensive of the two Port Authority airports. The same tiers at Henry E. Rohlsen on St. Croix top out at $10 a day.
Paying and Leaving
Take a ticket at the barrier on the way in and keep it on you rather than in the car.
Payment is made to a cashier on site rather than at an automated machine, which is worth knowing if you are used to paying at a kiosk on the way back to the vehicle. Most debit and credit cards are accepted.
Three cards are not: American Express, Capital One and Discover. Carry a Visa or Mastercard, or cash, if those are what you normally use. A lost ticket costs $20 whatever the actual stay was, the same as the daily maximum. For a short visit that turns a $4 stop into a $20 one.
Leaving a Car for Several Days
Multi-day parking is charged at the daily maximum, so the arithmetic is simple: $20 for each 24 hours.
Vehicles left at airport lots for more than 30 days may be impounded. Illegally parked vehicles are booted and towed at the owner’s expense, and the boot removal fee is $125, payable by cash, Visa, Mastercard, certified check or money order at a Port Authority cashier. Towing and daily storage are charged on top and cannot be waived.
The facility operates between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. If your flight lands or departs outside those hours, confirm access with the parking supervisor before leaving a car overnight.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Drop-off is at the terminal curb and should be immediate. Parking there is not permitted.
Pick-up works differently and the rule is enforced. Collect arriving passengers from the front sidewalk of the Transportation Center. Stopping on the road outside baggage claim is not allowed because it blocks the traffic behind it, and Port Authority police manage the crossing during busy periods.
Passengers reach the pick-up area from the terminal across the marked crosswalk, using the ADA ramps where needed. The first 15 minutes in the garage are free. If an inbound flight is running late, parking and walking over is usually simpler than circling the access road. Check the arrivals board before you set off.
Accessible Parking and Assistance
Nine accessible spaces are split across levels 2 and 3, positioned near the elevators on both levels. Ramps and ADA-compliant paths run from the garage through to the terminal.
Attendants work the facility and Port Authority police are present at the terminal during peak periods.
